She has been mounted in her found condition. We believe the mount to be from the 1920s. Lakshmi is the consort of Vishnu. She is the goddess of wealth, abundance & fertility. During the festival of Deepawali when she is revered she is thought to choose the cleanest and most beautiful home to visit. People will therefore decorate their homes with flowers in her honour.
